A Little Less Ordinary
Because the best trips aren't always the busiest ones.
Hello!
October has been a busy month at La Vita, and as I've been working on several very different itineraries, one thing keeps coming up.
The best trips aren't necessarily about seeing the most places or staying at the most famous hotels.
They're about finding the right experiences, the right pace, and those little moments that make a trip feel entirely your own.
Here's a little of what's been inspiring me lately.
WHERE I'M SENDING CLIENTS
Christmas in New York, With Three Generations
There's something magical about New York during the holidays.
I'm currently planning a Christmas getaway for a multigenerational family of ten, complete with Broadway, festive dining, iconic New York experiences, and plenty of holiday traditions.
But the most important part of planning a trip like this isn't the list of attractions.
It's making sure everyone, from grandparents to younger family members, can enjoy the experience comfortably.
That means thinking carefully about transportation, accessibility, restaurant locations, and how much we can realistically fit into each day.
Because a family vacation should feel like time spent together, not a logistical exercise.

ON MY RADAR
Puglia + The French Riviera
One of my favorite itineraries currently taking shape is a romantic getaway combining two very different sides of Europe.
Puglia, Italy
Think beautiful masserias, olive groves, incredible food, and afternoons exploring charming towns like Ostuni and Polignano a Mare.
The French Riviera
Then, a change of scenery. Seaside lunches, glamorous hotels, beautiful coastal villages, and a few days dedicated to doing very little.
What I love about this combination is the contrast.
Puglia is about discovery and slow living. The Riviera brings a little glamour and romance.
And together, they make a wonderful anniversary trip.

THE LA VITA LIST
Three Trips I'd Love to See More People Take in 2027
1. Japan, Beyond Tokyo and Kyoto
Japan is extraordinary, but some of my favorite itineraries include time away from the major cities. A beautiful ryokan, a private onsen, and a few days to experience a completely different side of the country.
2. South Africa, With a Safari
Cape Town, the Winelands, and a few unforgettable days on safari. It's a beautiful combination of exceptional hotels, incredible food, wildlife, and adventure.
3. The Mediterranean, by Small Ship
For travelers who love Europe but don't want to unpack every few days, a smaller luxury ship can be a wonderful way to discover coastal towns and islands, particularly when paired with a few nights on land.
THINKING ABOUT 2027?
Whether you're celebrating something special, planning a family vacation, dreaming about a honeymoon, or finally taking that trip you've been talking about for years, I'd love to help you bring it to life.
Until next time,
